Import from Word
Documents in,notes out.
Drop .docx files straight in. Headings, lists, tables and embedded images carry over; one document becomes one note.
How it works
- 1
Save as .docx
Word, Google Docs and Pages can all save or export to .docx.
- 2
Drop the files into Cimanote
One file or fifty - each becomes its own note in the notebook you pick.
What carries over
The honest version - what arrives intact, what changes shape, and what cannot make the trip.
✓
Text with formatting - headings, bold, italics, lists
✓
Tables
✓
Embedded images
✕
Comments and tracked changes - the final text imports; revision history does not
✕
Page layout (columns, headers) - notes flow like documents, not printed pages
Common questions
What about .doc (the old format)?
Save it as .docx first - every modern Word version and Google Docs can. Direct .doc support is not planned.
Can I import Google Docs?
Yes: File > Download > Microsoft Word (.docx) in Google Docs, then drop the file in.
Coming from somewhere else? See all import guides or the Import & Export overview.
